Our Philosophy

Sacred Heart Academy, founded by the Ursuline Sisters in 1897, shares with The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community the vision of creating an enriching academic environment rooted in our Catholic faith.  Teachers, staff, clergy, together with parents as primary educators, believe that our school exists to develop self-disciplined, compassionate, and responsible members of church and society.  In recognition of the inherent dignity and unique abilities of each child, we believe every student can learn to live in relationship with God.  By leading a Christ-centered life, we aspire to impact the world with hope.
