Parent Letter Faith Reflection

God looked at everything that God had made, and found it very good/Dios miró todo lo que había hecho, y vio que era muy bueno.—Genesis 1:31

Love is honesty. Honesty, however, is more than telling the truth. Honesty also involves treating other people and things justly.

In showing how all things are to be treated justly Pope Francis, in Laudato Deum, turned to the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC340) where it teaches, “God wills the interdependence of creatures...the spectacle of their countless diversities and inequalities tells us that no creature is self-sufficient. Creatures exist only in dependence on each other, to complete each other, in service of each other.”

In other words, we treat all creation justly because, “the universe as a whole, in all its manifold relationships, shows forth the inexhaustible richness of God.” (LD 63) “The world sings of an infinite Love: how can we fail to care for it?/”El mundo canta un Amor infinito, ¿cómo no cuidarlo?” (LD65)
