Principal's Letter Faith Reflection

Keeping connected to our past is important to us as people. Our memories form who we are and we find joy in celebrating events from the past such as birthdays and other anniversaries. Catholic relics of Saints are a way we can connect to the past and celebrate who we are as a Christian community. When we venerate a relic we are drawn towards God and can find inspiration in the Saint we are venerating. Our parish has been hosting a Friends In Heaven series where a relic of a Saint is available for veneration. A relic of Saint Francis of Assisi will be at our Columbia location on Thursday, 9 October from 7:00p-8:00p, and at Olive on Saturday, 11 October from 8:30a-9:30a. Whether we can attend or not may we remember something St. Francis said, “We should seek not so much to pray but to become prayer.”

Showcasing SHA talent: It’s nice to have friends on earth also as Anistyn in 8th shows us.
