Principal's Letter Faith Reflection
In addition to the Friends in Heaven series hosted by Holy Name of Jesus, where a Saint relic is available for veneration, El Carmelo, a Discalced Carmelite Retreat House here in Redlands, is hosting a relic of Saint Therese of Lisieux. Declared a Doctor of the Church in 1997, her "Little Way" of love and confidence has inspired people for over a century. Or in her words, "Holiness consists simply in doing God's will, and being just what God wants us to be." Her feast day is October 1st.
The relic will be available all day on Friday, 17 October, from 10am-7pm.
Showcasing SHA talent: Saint Therese died of turberculosis. If Addie in 4th had been there she would have attended to her with great care.
