You may not think of yourself as an artist but our feast days are very visual and your creative side is coming out as you decorate for a holiday. At its core decorating “is an invitation for all of us to be creative alongside God." Our decorations, be it ornaments, wreaths, a crèche, are visual prayers that bring Scripture and the season alive. Art is all around us, enhancing our environment as artist Makoto Fujimura sees it: “The Bible is full of making activities, I have come to believe that unless we are making something we cannot know the depths of God’s being and God’s grace permeating our lives and God’s creation...God moves in our hearts to be experienced and then makes us all to be artists of the Kingdom.” Now, taking down and putting away your decorations, that's another story, but we can be filled with gratitude at how art transformed our holiday as we pack things away.
Showcasing SHA talent: Christmas can be a whirlwind of activity but Adalynn in 4th knows you'll get through it.
