Principal's Letter Faith Reflection

Pope Paul VI once said, “This world in which we live needs beauty in order not to sink into despair. It is beauty, like truth, which brings joy to the heart of people...unites generations and makes them share things in admiration.” Dovetailing on this Pope Leo said that the Church has never considered art to be merely decorative. Instead, “art nurtures the fundamental posture of listening, through which we can learn about...our thirst for beauty, justice and peace, and our search for meaning.” Art, “when it’s original...is a form of cultural and spiritual regeneration.” The kid art included each week aims at doing this.
I went down to the potter’s house and there he was, working at the wheel. Whenever the object of clay which he as making turned out badly in his hand, he tried again, making of the clay another object of whatever sort he pleased. Jeremiah 18:3-4
