welcome to variables 101 we are going to show you how to solve addition subtraction multiplication and division what's with variables a variable is a symbol used to represent a quantity that can change the problem of 6 and 3/4 equals 8 first we have to get our variable Z by itself on one side of the equal sign do that we have to do the opposite equation which would be subtraction first 6 and 3/4 - 6 and 3/4 so we are left with the all by itself to balance the equation we have to do the same to the other side of the equal sign that 8 - 6 + 34 is 1 and 140 oz equals 1 1/4 we are going to solve the problem a five- s equals two and one in first we have to get our variable s by itself on one side of the equal sign so we have to inverse operation which would be addition since we're using subtraction so we're going to do 5 + 5 so that's gets a zero which leaves cast all by itself on its side of the equal sign  on the side were also going to add 5 so that would give us  7 + 1 so s equals 7 and 1/8 we are going to solve the equation 11 times T equals 33 fish to get the very old by itself on one side of the equal sign to eliminate 11 we have to use the opposite operation division 11 divided by 11 equals one which leaves tea to balance the equation we have to divide 33 by 33 divided by 11 equals 3  xochitl equals 3 of 2 / 28 equals 7 first we have to get the variable Q by itself on one side of the equal sign to do that we have to use the opposite operation which would mean multiplication so we are 2 x 28 so that leaves cute on its on one side next cats multiply 7 by 28 and that gives us  196 so Q 190 using variables when I know how to find the values of variables in addition subtraction multiplication and division problems chef chef chef
