fourth grade families it's misses Center at today the students were introduced to the concept of factors and also an easy way to find factors is to use what we call a t-chart I'm going to list all the numbers that are factors of 8 in other words what numbers can I multiply together to get the product of 8 whenever I'm doing a mighty chart I'm always going to start with one and the number that I'm talking about since I'm talking about 8 I know 1 times 8 equals 8 now I'm going to go to my next number 2 today in class we learned that if this number that I'm talking about is even too is going to be a factor automatically of that num so 2 times what equals 8 - x 4 1 times 8 equals 8 - x 4 equals 3 is 3 factor of 8 no it's not cuz three times something does not equal 8 and we're back to 4 so I can stop these are all the factors of 8  then we also learned about multiple so I'm talking about the multiples of 8 play I Am skip counting all the multiples of 8  1624 and if you notice list can go on Infinity it can go on forever and forever so that's the difference between factors and multiples factors are numbers that you play together to get a product which was a dinar in this case multiples always start with the number that you're talking about in this case and Skip Count 8 16 24 and it can go on forever and forever for my multiples thank you very much
