Today we learned how to find equivalent fractions using fraction circles and paper plates.

paper plate okay so in third grade today we're doing paper plate fractions Victoria what are you trying to figure out right now very good okay so you started with your hole that's on your paper plate  find fractions that equal one whole remember the how many door has to be the same the denominator Trent is at the bottom number or the top number good job okay so let's see what did you get Nicole which fraction should you use okay and how many pieces of 1/4 did you need to bring one hole you have for over 4 which equals excellent good job did anybody do something different other than 1/4 Nathan what did you do  01 6 and how many little fraction pieces did you need to equal one of the whole 66066 is one whole good job weather ideas who else did what did you do I'm done it's okay so then how many little pieces okay and so what fraction does that make 8 / 8 would you equals one whole right good job okay so how many did you need to have equal good job okay let's try and do something a little bit different now please clear off your paper plates please find one half so just one of the one has remember you have to write you only need one put that on your paper plate find some fractions that equal 1/2 the denominator needs to be the same at this point  and you need to have that whole or the one half all covered up somebody I haven't heard from yet go ahead keep going I mean keep going I'll come how about you Adam are you ready  not yet okay somebody I haven't heard from yet you ready I mean  almost good there's different relations you can have a **** what did you get  okay remember your denominator needs to be the same  so try one more time  wait did you say you use other fractions to make a half okay so get it grab the half a circle is that on there and cover that up with some fractions so you use how many - 2/4 to make a half excellent good job so too 4 - 2/4 is equivalent to 1/2 Eileen what did you do 5 x 5/10 so 5/10 is equivalent to one half excellent
